Trillium flowers, also
known as Wake Robin, have a simplistic elegance. This three-petaled
blossom is a beautiful harbinger of Spring. It takes several years to
cultivate a flowering plant from seed but
patience is rewarded as Trillium Plants can live for 25 years or longer.
Picking
a Trillium flower can seriously injure the plant. The three leaves below the
flower are it's only part that absorbs sunlight. If damaged it may take years
for the flower to recover.
